food processor vs immersion blender
I love my immersion blender and don’t have a food processor.  I get this weird sense of satisfaction and accomplishment from manual chopping.  As far as baby food prep goes, I really don’t know if one is a better choice than the other but just for every day cooking, I’d choose the immersion blender. thisbeautifulmess: Can’t decide between the two. got some cash for Christmas...

Great big “like”.  Glad you are part of our little DRA family.  We’ve all come to know and love him in different ways.  Cute little story on how I turned my sons onto DRA… they are in a band and used to drive my SUV on the weekends to gigs which happened to be full of my CDs.  I got a text from my son at 2am one Sat morning while he was driving… “Love is Hell...

Winter
Believe it or not, we still have a tiny bit of snow on the ground here in ATL.  It came down beautifully Christmas Day and stuck around all week.  Travel safe. herestothehalcyon: Looks like I’m going to get a good dose of Winter after all. After being here in BFE Colorado for 11 days, we’re finally getting snow and below zero temps. Crossing my fingers that this doesn’t interfere with flying...

We raised our boys with the understanding that Santa is a fun character like Superman or Bugs Bunny…. I just couldn’t lie to them and play that whole charade for a few reasons: 1) I worked very hard to earn the money to buy their gifts so I wanted them to know where they come from (my husband & me!), 2) While we do want them to exhibit good behavior, we did not want to teach that...

NNMM: To Atlanta and the ghost →
Very touching.  Welcome to Atlanta.  Merry Christmas! nashvilleneedsmoremetaphors: The second leg of the annual holiday exodus is about to begin. At some point, I need to shower, load the car, and wrap a couple of presents. I’m in no hurry to get out of this robe though. Fucking love robes man. Fucking love ‘em. Anyway…we always make sure we get to Atlanta on the 23rd. See,…
